I'm Vasavi, and I'm a Bay Area born Product Designer now living in Austin, TX. I strive to create delightful and meaningful experiences.
My passion for understanding and empathizing with people drove me to take an untraditional route into design. It was through General Assembly, that I found that my heart was in design- in creating exceptional user experiences with a focus on storytelling.
I started my design career interning for WebDAM, a digital asset management company, where I focused on designing an Android app and designing and coding a new feature page. The next couple of years was spent refining my design skills at HP, helping to improve PC security through mobile applications and building out HP OMEN's gaming line. I then became a Product Designer at AppDynamics, working to improve the Administrator experience through user, access, and identity management. Through a data-driven design process, I helped to create impactful and meaningful experiences through simplified workflows.
I am currently the Lead Product Designer at BloomTech, formerly known as Lambda School. Here, I lead all aspects of design and ultimately help in solving challenging problems surrounding education bootcamps while helping more folks pursue their passion in software engineering.
FUN FACTS:
- I enjoy watching Basketball and Football- I will definitely crush you in Fantasy Football.
- I grew my puppy's instgram from 0 to 14k! BTW, it's not easy writing in a dogs' point of view.
- I'm also a wine aficionado- though not in close proximity to Napa anymore, I can be found enjoying a glass of pinot from one of our multiple wine memberships.
